Counselling

Counselling is a talking therapy which can enable you to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain new awareness, and enable change.  The aim of counselling is to enable you  to come to your own decisions.

My role is not about giving you advice, telling you what to do or judging you in any way. My role is to ask questions that will help you to be more aware, and better able to communicate and understand your thoughts and feelings

Only you know how you really feel in any given situation, and counselling gives you the opportunity to explore these feelings and your reactions in a safe, non-judgemental environment.

The first session that you come to will be an assessment session, where we explore together, what brings you to counselling now and what you hope to achieve.

This session is an opportunity to establish whether you feel we could work together, and after exploring some of why you’ve come, we can begin to look towards how our future sessions take shape.
